Nigerian Navy 2017/18 List Of Candidates For Batch 27 Aptitude Test

The Nigerian Navy has released the 2017/18 List Of Candidates For Batch 27 Aptitude Test online.
Candidates are to check their names on the list by clicking here.

The Aptitude Test and Screening of Certificates of candidates will hold on Saturday 12 August, 2017 from 8:00 am nationwide at designated centres in various states.

Applicants must come to the recruitment centres with the following documents:
  • Photocopies of Birth Certificate or Age Declaration.
  • Photocopies of Credentials.
  • Duly completed identification form to be signed by Chairman or Secretary of the candidate’s LGA or by an officer of the rank of Commander, Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) or Equivalent and above from candidate’s State of Origin.
  • Duly completed Parent Consent form to be signed by Applicant’s Parent or Guardian.

  • Four passport photographs duly signed and stamped by any of the persons mentioned in Sub-Paragraph (c) above.
  • Candidates are advised to bring the scratch cards of their NECO and WAEC results to the recruitment centres.
Applicants are to bring the following to the Aptitude Test Centres:
  • Parents/Guardian Consent Form.
  • Local Government Attestation Card.
  • Acknowledgment Form.
  • Photocopies of Certificates including NYSC Discharge Certificate.
Applicants will be required to produce original of all copies of credentials listed above before recruitment.

Any applicant suspected to have impersonated, forged or submitted false document(s) shall be disqualified from the recruitment exercise. Such applicant shall also be handed over to the Civil Police for prosecution.

Be-Careful: NDA Fake Admission Letter Is In Circulation

ATTENTION TO ALL NIGERIAN DEFENCE ACADEMY APPLICANTS
There has been a fake admission letter which is been circulated online, emails and other sources. The fake letter purportedly signed by the Academy Registrar which is NOT from the NDA.

The letter also contains the financial requirements for the following:
a. School Fee = N120, 000.00
b. Accommodation Fee = N25, 000.00
c. Acceptance Fee = N30, 000.00

The NDA does not in any way charge for School fee, Accommodation and Acceptance fees or any fee at all. It is pertinent to note that all admitted NDA Candidate would be contacted by the NDA authorities through appropriate means.

Furthermore, only qualified candidates who successfully pass the Medicals, Physical and NDA Selection Board interview would be considered. The list of all NDA successful Candidates would be published at the official NDA website(www.nda.edu.ng) and national dailies.



The general public is therefore advised not to fall prey or have any dealings with the said fake NDA admission letter. Also, NDA admission letters are only given to successful candidates after resumption and completion of appropriate documentation in the NDA, Kaduna.

Accordingly, the general public is advised to report anyone circulating such letters or similar information to the nearest Military or Police Unit. For avoidance of doubt a copy of the fake letter is as shown below.

ACU 2016/17 Make-Up Exam, Payment & Registration Procedures

The University Management has approved a Make-Up Examination for the following categories of students:
  1. 2016/2017 non-graduating 400 Level students with outstanding credits.
  2. Students that missed the 2016/2017 second semester examination in certain courses due to late payment of Tuition fee(s).
  3. Students that missed the 2016/2017 second semester examinations due to illness.
Interested students must fulfill the following:
  1. Pay all outstanding fee(s) before registering for the Make-Up Examination.
  2. Pay Application Fee of ₦5,000.00 (Five Thousand Naira Only).

ABU Remedial Admission Form is Out – 2017/18 [How To Apply]

This is to inform the general public that the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Remedial Studies application form for the 2017/2018 academic session is out.
Catchment Area
The School being established by the Northern State Governments is open to all interested applicants from the 19 Northern States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

Entry Requirements

Candidates aspiring to gain admission in Ahmadu Bello University Zaria via SBRS’s Remedial programme must:
Successfully sit and pass the pre-admission test examined by SBRS at Funtua.
Have obtained at least three (3) credits and two (2) pass in English Language, General Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Geography and Physics in WAEC and or NECO.
The remedial section of the school also organizes
JAMB CLINIC
classes for all students and SPECIAL classes for students with deficiencies in their O-Levels.
The Remedial programme generally last for Nine (9) months divided into two semesters. During this period, students are exposed to intensive lectures from Mondays to Thursdays every week and a weekly C.A. test on Fridays.
GROUPS & SUBJECT COMBINATIONS
All successfully admitted and registered students are placed into one of the four (4) academic groups:- RS1, RS2, RS3 or RS4. Each student is given a group by considering his/her intended feature carrier and the O-Level credits obtained. Courses in each group are:
RS1:- Biology, Chemistry and Geography
RS2:- Biology, Chemistry and Physics
RS3:- Biology, Geography and Physics
RS4:- Chemistry, Geography and Physics
Note:
English Language and General Mathematics are compulsory for all students apart from the subject combinations they are expected to offer in their various groups.
Entry Requirements Into The University After Completion Of The Programme
Admission in Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria is automatic provided a student successfully completes the remedial programme as follows:
Obtained a minimum of 2.0 CGPA from 3 subjects undertook at the school.
Choose ABU Zaria as first choice in JAMB and has also obtained the required JAMB scores (which is generally determined by JAMB) and
Remedied all necessary O-Level deficiencies.

Method Of Application

-Interested applicants are to go to any of the following designated Banks nationwide to obtain an “E-Transaction Pin” in order to apply.
-You are to pay the sum of N 5, 000 at any of the following Banks viz: ABU Micro Finance Bank, First Bank, Unity Bank, UBA Bank and Zenith Bank for your “E – Transaction Pin” which the Bank will generate and print for you.
-Visit:www.sbrsabu.org website and click on the “Application” link from the Menu.
-A pop up dialogue box will open for you, requesting your “Teller Number” and “E-Transaction Pin” for validation.
– Complete the form as required.
Note: Uploading your picture (120px x 120px and 40kb) is required.
-After completing the form, a print preview page will be displayed for you to print. Simply click on the “Print” button to print your form. Print at least 2 copies for your perusal.
-You are to print your “Pre-Entrance Exam Card” in two (2) copies from the website also.
-You may wish to “reprint” or “edit” your submitted form, by visiting the “Application” link again.

IMSU Student Collapses After She Was Allegedly Flogged By Her Lecturer (Photos)

A student of the Imo state university reportedly collapsed after she was flogged by a lecturer identified as Prof Egbe Richard from the faculty of social science.
According to reports,  Prof. Egbe allegedly used his belt to flog the student who came for her exams, the lady fainted from the beating.
She was later revived by her colleagues, who poured sachets of water on her head.



The lady developed knee injuries from her collapse.
Earlier this year, we reported a case of undergraduates at the university of lagos(UNILAG), who were flogged by a lecturer from the Faculty of Arts, for coming late.

DG of NYSC officially launches Portal for the N75k payment of EX-NYSC Corp members (2000 - 2016)

  Big jubilation among all the Ex NYSC Corp Members who had successfully served their Fatherland from the year 2000-2016 for the reading of the bill “Payment of stipends to all the Ex-NYSC Corp Members ranging from 2000-2016 across the nation” raised by the senator representing Kano North.

  It was noticed that many ex-Corp members were unable to visit the link for the application of the stipend.

  The DG of NYSC officially launched the website for the application of the stipend and advised ex-Corp members not to pay any money to anyone to access the application portal.

Eligibility

  • Must have completed his/her service between the year 2000-2016



  • Must be able to provide NYSC Certificate


  • Must be able to provide Statement of Result from the institution


Application Guidelines 

  • No multiple applications
  • Application must be through online.

NYSC Disclaimer On Payment Of N75,000 To Ex-Corps Members

The NYSC Management has issued a disclaimer notice to all Corp Members on the issue of Payment Of N75,000 To Ex-Corps Members

The blogs, 'Safe Job' and 'Vanguard News', cited a purported passage of bill on payment of stipends to ex-Corps members by the Senate, and published information claiming that the NYSC Director-General had launched a portal for the payment of the said stipends.

A fake Facebook account, NYSC Online, has also been spreading the content published by the two blogs.



Management wishes to state that the information is not only false, but also misleading; and should, therefore, be disregarded.

We further wish to inform our esteemed stakeholders that the so-called "NYSC Online" is NOT the official Facebook page of the National Youth Service Corps.

NNPC warns the public about scammers, NNPC not recruiting

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has, for the umpteenth time, reiterated that it has not launched a recruitment campaign of any kind for now.
The latest clarification is coming on the heels of a fresh recruitment advert purportedly from the Corporation being circulated by emails and on various social media platforms.
A statement by the Corporation’s spokesman, Mr. Ndu Ughamadu, disclosed that the advert which is on a fake letterhead complete with NNPC logo is purportedly signed by the Group Managing Director, Dr. Maikanti Baru, and the Chief Operating Officer, Refineries, Mr. Anibor Kragha.
The fake advert directs unsuspecting applicants to send their applications to a fake e-mail address: nnpccareersrecruitment@gmail.com.
Spokesman of the NNPC, Ndu Ughamadu said another form of the scam involved text messages, e-mails, and letters inviting gullible job seekers for fake job interviews at the NNPC Towers and other locations across the country with a view to extorting money from them.
He called on the public, especially applicants, to discountenance any of such adverts or spurious invitations for job interviews as the Corporation was currently not recruiting, stressing that anyone who entertains such invitations does so at his or her own risk.
Mr. Ughamadu advised that anyone contacted for the fake recruitment should not hesitate to report such invitations to relevant law enforcement agencies, adding that the Corporation would continue to engage security agencies on the scam.
He said NNPC Management under the leadership of Dr. Maikanti Baru would sustain the prevailing culture of transparency and accountability which has witnessed the conduct of open public bidding in sourcing for contractors and suppliers of goods and services for its day-to-day operations.
He said the transparency will also moderate recruitment of staff, stressing that NNPC will advertise all vacant positions in national newspapers whenever it was ready to recruit.

Nationality: International students can apply for these scholarships.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirement: Applicants must have previous degree.
Test Requirement: International students, and students applying for a program within our College of Art and Design, do not need to submit SAT or ACT test results. For these students, these tests are optional.
English Language Requirement: All international applicants for whom English is not the native tongue must provide proof of competence in the English language.

Create a profile, write your college essay, and list your education and activities in the Common Application’s online form. Use the Common Application to send us your letters of recommendation and transcripts.

The Attestation of Result confirms that the indiviual registered and sat for the West African Senor School Certificate Examination [WASSCE].

The document can also be forwarded to the individual respective school by WAEC to verify.
