Delta State University Secondary School 2017/18 Entrance Exam Schedule

The Delta State University Secondary School, Abraka has announced the Entrance Examination Schedule for the 2017/2018 Academic Session.

This is to inform all Staff and the University Community that the University Secondary School Entrance Examination earlier slated for Saturday 22nd July, 2017 has been postponed to Saturday 12th August, 2017.



The Postponement was as a result of the University Convocation Ceremony which was held on 22nd July, 2017 which is the same date earlier scheduled for the Entrance Examination.

Delta Poly, Ozoro 2017/18 Post-UTME [ND Regular] Admission Screening Form Out

The management of Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro (DSPZ) wishes to inform all interested candidates that registration for the 2017/2018 Post-UTME Screening Exercise for admissions into various ND programmes is ongoing.

Eligibility:
(1) All candidates who chose the Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro as first and/or second choice and scored 180 and above in the UTME for the 2017 Admission Exercise are eligible to participate in the screening exercise.

(2) Those who did not choose the Polytechnic but wish to be considered for admissions and scored the afore-mentioned cut off mark are also eligible to take part in the screening exercise.

Method of Application:
  1. The Screening Fee for all candidates is N5,000 (Five thousand naira) only. All interested candidates should pay the aforementioned Screening Fee in favour of Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro in any branch of First Bank of Nigeria Plc, Unity Bank and IC Global Bank in Ozoro Branch only and obtain Scratch Card from same bank.
  2. Visit the Polytechnic to complete application.
Screening Dates, Venues & Details:
The Delta State Poly Ozoro Post Utme Screening scheduled will be announced at a later date

Venue: School / Departmental Screening Halls.  



Materials Required for the Screening Exercise are;
(i) Five (5) recent passport photographs.
(ii) Photocopy of UTME Score slip.
(iii) Examination result to include: WAEC, NECO, NABTEB etc.
(iv) Certificate of Local Government of Origin.
(v) Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age.
(vi) Teller for the purchase of Post-UTME Application Form.
(vii) Two copies of your on-line Application Form.

Mode of Dressing: Corporate. Note that candidates who make false declarations of UTME scores and Ordinary Level grades shall not be considered for admission as the Polytechnic will interface with JAMB and various examination bodies websites during the Screening Exercise.

This is to inform all students and the general public that the Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro has commenced sales of the ND Direct Entry for the 2017/2018 Academic Session.

Eligibility 
This application is for Candidates who didn't write the 2017 UTME Exam or who scored less than the ND Required Cutoff Mark of 180.

Method of Application:

  1. The Screening Fee for all candidates is N11,000 (Eleven thousand naira) only. All interested candidates should pay the aforementioned Screening Fee in favour of Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro in any branch of First Bank of Nigeria Plc, Unity Bank and IC Global Bank in Ozoro Branch only and obtain Scratch Card from same bank.
  2. Visit the Polytechnic to complete application.

UNIJOS 2016/17 First Semester Exams Postponement Notice

The attention of Management of the University of Jos has been drawn to rumours making the rounds that the First Semester Examinations for the 2016/2017 Academic Session have been postponed.



Management, therefore, wishes to inform members of the University Community especially Students that no such postponement has been approved by Senate of the University and they should, therefore, disregard any such information. 

The approved First Semester Examination Time-Table for the 2016/2017 Academic Session still remains in operation and has not been altered. Consequently, all Students of the University are advised to adhere by the current Time-Table as they prepare for their examinations.

Top 10 WAEC 2017 Results By State... Abia, Rivers Leads

Abia State recorded the best result in the recently concluded 2017 May/June WASSCE.
WAEC confirmed that 1,243,772 (one million two hundred and forty three thousand seven hundred and seventy two) candidates, representing 79.77% obtained credits and above in five (5) subjects.
According to the ranking, Abia State, which presented 51,839 candidates recorded 81.54% of students who obtained five credits with English Language and Mathematics.
Statistics also showed that the South-South and South-East dominated the top 10 ranking, while Taraba State recorded a major improvement in their students’ performance, rising from 21st to 8th position.
Rivers, Edo, Bayelsa and Delta finished second, third, fifth and 10th, respectively behind Abia.

South-East had four states in the top 10 ranking with Abia as first, Imo fourth, Anambra sixth and Enugu ninth.

AFIT, Kaduna 2017/18 ND, Pre-HND, HND & PGD Admission Form On Sale

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for Preliminary and Direct entry admissions into the following programmes of the Air Force Institute of Technology for the 2017/2018 Academic Session.

The Air Force Institute of Technology is a higher education institution engaged in imparting knowledge and skills to students using specialized facilities and multi-disciplinary approach; a centre of excellence for serious innovative research and development for the aerospace, aeronautical, aviation and allied industries/disciplines.

Admissions into programmes offered in the Institute are open to the general public. Traditionally, admission into the Institute is gained through the JAMB UTME entry route. However, admissions could also be gained through direct entry into any of the Institute’s programmes other than the National Diploma programmes



AFIT, KADUNA DIRECT ENTRY ADMISSIONS INTO PGD/HND/PRE-HND PROGRAMMES AND ADMISSION SCREENING INTO ND PROGRAMMES FOR 2017/2018 ACADEMIC SESSION 

  a.     Pre-Higher National Diploma (Pre-HND) Programmes.
(1)      Aircraft Engineering Technology (Airframe/Power Plant Option).
(2)      Aircraft Engineering Technology (Avionics Option).
(3)      Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology.
(4)      Purchasing and Supply.
b.     Higher National Diploma (HND) Programmes.
(1)      Aircraft Engineering Technology (Airframe/Power Plant Option).
(2)      Aircraft Engineering Technology (Avionics Option).
(3)      Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology.
(4)      Purchasing and Supply.
c.     Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) Programmes.
              (1)      Aerospace Engineering (Aeromechanical Option).
(2)      Aerospace Engineering (Avionics Option).
(3)      Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

The Pre-HND in Aircraft Engineering Technology Programme is a one-year orientation course specifically designed for candidates with ND in engineering fields other than aircraft engineering. The programme is meant to introduce students to aircraft engineering and also provide a good foundation for such students to further their studies in aviation related programmes.  Similarly, the other Pre-HND programmes are aimed at appropriate re-orientation as the case may be.

The PGD in Aerospace Engineering at AFIT is a one-year programme that is specially designed to prepare candidates for one-year MSc programme in aerospace engineering at Cranfield University, United Kingdom (UK). Candidates, who on completion of the PGD programme, wish to enrol for the Masters Programme at Cranfield University, UK can choose to specialize in one of the following fields: 
a.       MSc Aerospace Vehicle Design (Airframe and Airframe Systems Option).
b.       MSc Aerospace Vehicle Design (Avionics Systems Design Option).
c.       MSc Thermal Power.
d.       MSc Computation Fluid Dynamics.
e.       MSc Flight Dynamics.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
5.     Candidates seeking admission into AFIT’s ND programmes are required to write JAMB UTME examination. Those intending to pursue Pre-Higher National Diploma (Pre-HND), Higher National Diploma (HND) and Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) Programmes would be offered direct entry admission if they meet the entry requirements. The entry qualifications for programmes offered in AFIT are as detailed below:

a.       National Diploma (ND) Programme - Aircraft Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology and Explosive Ordnance Technology.
(1)    JAMB UTME cut-off pass mark and pass in AFIT’s post-JAMB UTME screening and;
(2)    Minimum of WASC/GCE/SSCE/NECO/NTC/NABTEB with at least a pass in English Language and credit passes in 5 subjects in not more than 2 sittings. The subjects must include Mathematics, Physic, Chemistry and 2 other subjects from Additional Mathematics, Biology, Geography, Statistics, Technical Drawing, Auto-Mechanics and Metal Work or,
(3)    Credit passes in an NBTE recognized Pre-ND examination in English Language, Mathematics and 3 other relevant subjects listed in Paragraph 5d(2) above.



b.       National Diploma (ND) Programme – Business Administration and Management.
(1)    JAMB UTME cut-off pass mark and pass in AFIT’s post-JAMB UTME screening and;
(2)    Candidates should possess a Minimum of WASC/GCE/SSCE/NECO/NTC/NABTEB with 5 credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and 3 other subjects from Economic/Commerce, Business Methods, Principles of Accounts, Statistics, Geography, Agricultural Science, Government and Biology or,
(3)    Credit passes in an NBTE recognized Pre-ND examination in English Language, Mathematics and 3 other relevant subjects listed in Paragraph 5d(2) above.

c.       Pre-Higher National Diploma (Pre-HND) Programmes.
(1)    ND with a minimum of lower credit pass (CGPA of 2.50) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical/|Electronics Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Material Science Engineering or Business Administration and Management (as applicable) and;
(2)    A Minimum of one year post-ND cognate work experience.
(3)    In exceptional cases, a candidate with ND at pass level (CGPA of 2.0-2.49) who has 2 or more years of post-ND cognate work experience may be considered for admission into the Pre-HND programme.

d.       Higher National Diploma (HND) Programmes.
(1)    ND with a minimum of lower credit pass (CGPA of 2.50) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical/|Electronics Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Material Science Engineering or Business Administration and Management (as applicable) and;
(2)    A Minimum of one year post-ND cognate work experience.
e.     Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) Programmes in Aerospace Engineering.A minimum grade of Second Class Honours in Engineering, Material Sciences or Physics.
f.      Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) Programmes in Supply Chain Management. A minimum grade of Second Class Honours in Purchasing & Supply and other related fields.
PROCEDURE FOR DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES
6.      For a successful application, direct entry candidates are expected to complete two basic steps below:
a.    Payment to e-Bills Pay.
b.    On-line Registration.
7.      Candidates should visit any branch of commercial banks, ask for Air Force Institute of Technology on e-Bills Pay platform and specify the appropriate programme (Pre-HNDHND or PGD) to make payment. Pre-HND and HND/PGD candidates are to pay N4,000.00 and N5,000.00 respectively with the required bank charges. After payment, the bank teller will give a printout which would be needed to proceed with the online registration. The 2 numbers included in the printout are:
a.    Receipt Number.
b.    Confirmation Number.
8.      Having been assigned a Receipt Number and a Confirmation Number by the bank, candidates should visit the AFIT website (http://www.afit.edu.ng) and click on the ‘Verify Payments (Pre-HND, HND, PGD)’ Link. Select the application form applicable to you (Pre-HNDHND or PGD), and insert the Receipt Number and Confirmation Number obtained from the bank. After verifying your payments, click on the 'Resume Registration' link to resume registration.
9.      On the registration form, candidates should fill in their bio-data and other relevant information (post-secondary information, employment history), upload their passport photographs as required on the page and continue (Note: The candidate’s phone number is his/her identity on the portal.Thereforeit is important to provide a valid phone number). Thereafter, candidates should upload the necessary documents (e.g. Degree/ND certificates, etc) as required on the page. Proceed further to print your Photo Card for a successful application. The Photo Card contains candidates’ basic identity information and would be required for confirmation of application for admission into the Institute

PROCEDURE FOR ND PROGRAMMESCANDIDATES
10.    For a successful application, ND candidates are expected to complete two basic registration processes as explained below:
       a.                Payment to e-Bills Pay.
       b.                Admission Screening Bio-Data Registration.
11.    ND candidates should visit any branch of commercial banks, ask for e-Bills Pay in respect of Air Force Institute of Technology NDprogramme and make payment of the sum of N2,500.00 with the required bank charges. After payment, the bank teller will provide a printout which contains the information required to proceed with online registration as follows:
a.    Receipt Number.
b.    Confirmation Number.
12.    ND candidates should visit the AFIT website (http://www.afit.edu.ng), click on the ‘Verify Payments (ND Only)’ Link. Insert the Receipt Number and Confirmation Number obtained from the bank. After verifying your payments, click on the 'Resume Registration' link to resume registration.
13.    Having completed the steps above, proceed to the Registration Page to begin data entry on the online form. Data such as bio-information, SSCE/GCE/NECO results, JAMB score, etc should be filled. Thereafter, candidates should upload their passport photographs which should not be more than 1MB in size. The size of such uploaded picture will be validated against this requirement.  Therefore, candidates should ensure compliance.
14.    After the successful upload of pictures, candidates should proceed to print their Photo Cards. The Photo Cardscontaincandidates’ basic identity information and would be required for confirmation of application for admission into the Institute.


CLOSURE OFAPPLICATIONS FOR ADMISSION
15.    All applications for admission will close on Tuesday 5 September 2017.  Successful candidates would be contacted via SMS and also published at the Institute’s website at the appropriate time.  Therefore candidates are advised to provide valid phone numbers during registration.  Candidates are equally advised to visit the Institute’s website from time to time for important information after successful registration. OOU 2017/18 Post-UTME Screening Registration Exercise Extended

The Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State has announced the Extension of the Post-UTME Screening Registration Exercise for the 2017/2018 Academic Session.

The Extension of the Post-UTME Screening Registration Exercise was Due to the on-ongoing JAMB Direct Entry registration and NECO Examination.



Therefore the Post-UTME Screening Registration exercise has been extended till 11th of August, 2017. 

Consequently, the Screening exercise will commence on the 14th of August, 2017.

ABUAD 2017/18 Undergraduates School Fees Schedule [New & Returning Students]

The Management of the Afe Babalola University has released the School Fees schedule payable by Undergraduates of the institution both New and Returning Students for the 2017/2018 Academic Session.

Please note that DIRECT ENTRY and INTER-UNIVERSITY TRANSFER STUDENTS are to pay the same amount with the FRESH UNDERGRADUATES.



NOTE:1. Students are to pay PTCF levy of N20, 000 into PTCF WEMA Bank Account Number 0232403905.2. NO INSTALMENTAL PAYMENTS FOR LAW AND MBBS, but installment payment of N50% and 50% are available in all other courses.

ABUAD 2017/18 New Students Payment Of Acceptance Fees Guidelines

The Management of the Afe Babalola University has published guidelines on the Payment of Acceptance fees for all newly admitted Students for the 2017/2018 academic session.

AFE BABALOLA UNIVERSITY ACCEPTANCE FEE PAYMENT GUIDELINES:

There are two options for payment of Acceptance Fee:

(i) Online Payment and
(ii) Manual Payment

Online payment: Pay the Acceptance Fee online with your ATM card and gain access to print your
admission letter immediately.

Enter your email address and phone number in the spaces provided and click on “Pay Acceptance Fee Online now

In the next screen, check and confirm the transaction details by clicking on “Confirm and Pay Now

In the next screen pay with your ATM Card by clicking on “Select your card type”. Select your card type, enter your card number, expiry date, CVC2, card pin and click on “Pay”.



Kindly print out the receipt of your payment if the payment is successful 

With a successful payment, you can now download and print your admission letter.

Manual Payment:
Pay the Acceptance Fee at any of the designated banks (listed online) and bring your proof of payment to Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti to collect your Admission Letter.

If you paid Acceptance Fee online and the payment is successful, you can proceed to the University student portal immediately ( http://portal.abuad.edu.ng ) to set up your account and familiarise yourself with the University community as well as paying school fees.

Steps To Check ABUAD Admission Status And Print Admission Letter

1. Go to https://admissions.abuad.edu.ng/under/CheckAdmission

2. Enter your jamb registration number in the space provided and click on “Check Admission Status”

3. The next screen displays your admission status

4. The next step is to pay the Acceptance Fee



5. In case you need to choose another course (only applicable for some applicants), click on “Select
Course
” and choose any of courses available on the dropdown menu. Click on “Accept Admission

UNIZIK Admission Requirements For UTME and Direct Entry Candidates [Undergraduate]

For you secure admission into the Nnamdi Azikwe University, you have to do the following;
  1. Buy and register JAMB-UTME form. During registration, chose the Nnamdi Azikiwe University as your first choice institution.
  2. Sit for the JAMB CBT Exam and meet the official UNIZIK Cut off mark that this year. The UNIZIK Jamb cut off mark for 2016/2017 academic session is 180 (for arts except Department of English and History) and 200 for other courses. All prospective candidates are expected to score at least the cut off mark or above in JAMB CBT 2017 exam to be eligible for UNIZIK Post UTME/Admission Screening.
  3. During the post utme/admission screning, candidates must score at least 40% pass mark in the UNIZIK Post-UTME screening to be considered for admission into the institution, any candidate who scored less than 40% MAY NOT be eligible for admission.
  4. Prospective candidates are expected to have 5 O’Level credit passes or equivalent including English Language in not more than 2 sittings.

  5. Candidates must choose Nnamdi Azikiwe University, UNIZIK as their 1st choice of institution to qualify for the UTME and Post-UTME/admission screening.
  6. Direct entry applicants must possess at least 5 credit passes or its equivalent in SSCE, GCE including English Language in not more than 2 sittings
  7. Direct entry applicants must possess either of OND, HND or NCE in the relevant programme to be undertaken in Nnamdi Azikiwe University, UNIZIK.
  8. An Acceptable score is prescribed for admission at the direct entry screening exercise.
  9. Final selection is a combination of candidate’s certificates and the direct entry screening result.
I am advising all candidates who chose UNIZIK as their second choice to rush now and apply for a change of institution or course now and change UNIZIK to first choice if such a candidate is to stand a chance of gaining admission this year into UNIZIK.

A Science student of the Navrongo Senior High School, Akannae Ayine Ebenezer, with index number 0090501130 has scored distinction in the 2017 West African Senior Schools Certificate Examinations (WASSCE) with all As in the eight subjects. The results were released last Wednesday by the West African Examinations Council, Waec.

Master Akannae’s parents are in Kumasi as labourers,our sources have gathered that His mother washes bowls and clothes for people for survival while his father works on a farm in the Ashanti Region capital. He was adopted by a member of the Bolgatanga Presbyterian Church in the Upper East Region. He currently lives in Sumbrungu, a village in the Bolgatanga municipality. Master Akannae wants to be a medical doctor in future. His guardian is appealing to the general public to help him pursue Biomedical Engineering at the university.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR HND EVENING PROGRAMMES
The minimum entry requirements for admission into the Higher National Diploma programmes are as follows: 

The National Diploma in the relevant field with a minimum of Lower Credit grade obtained from a recognized Institution, and a minimum of one-year post qualification experience. In exceptional cases, candidates with pass grade and a minimum of two years post qualification experience in the specific field may be considered for admission.

In addition, candidates must possess Five (5) relevant credit passes, including Mathematics and English Language at the SSCE, GCE, NECO, NABTEB and other O/L equivalent qualifications obtained at not more than two (2) sittings. 

C. All candidates including ND graduates from Federal Polytechnic Idah are to upload their results and forward same with their academic transcripts and confidential report to the Registrar for admission purposes.



ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR ND EVENING PROGRAMMES
Five (5) relevant credit passes, including Mathematics and English Language at the SSCE, GCE, NECCO, NABTEB and other O/L equivalent qualifications obtained at not more than 2 sittings.

METHOD OF APPLICATION:
The following procedures are to be followed:
  • Log on to the address www.fepoda.edu.ng
  • Click on the On-line Application Tab
  • Fill the form with valid e-mail address and password containing eight (8) characters in alphabets and numbers and print out the Payment Invoice with Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) Number.
  • Take the printed Payment Invoice to any Bank for the payment of Five Thousand, Five Hundred Naira (N5,500.00) only using the Remita.
  • Go back to the School website (www.fepoda.edu.ng) to complete the registration by clicking on “Finish Registration”.
  • Print out the Application Form, Confidential Report and State of Origin documents
                                                                       
 CLOSING DATE: The closing date for the application is September 25th, 2017.
