The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has released information on how the 2016/2017 admission screening will be done. The admission guideline for this year was released by JAMB after a one-week meeting with universities and other tertiary institutions’ administrators.
The new admission screening modalities for 2016/2017 is a point-based system. Before a candidate can be considered for screening, he/she must have been offered a provisional admission by JAMB. The points will be calculated based on candidates’ O’level and JAMB results.
Procedure for Admission Screening For 2016/2017 Session – All Universities

Post-UTME has been officially cancelled and below is the summary of the admission guideline;
1. Screening of candidates shall be for ONLY candidates recommended for admissions.
2. No written examination to be conducted.
3. Verification of Course Requirements (O’ levels or A’ levels).

5. Institutions are free to source from other Course(s) to compensate for SHORTFALL in any of the criteria.
Important Note:
The list of candidates that have scored above the minimum cut-off mark, and are NOT admitted
may be forwarded to other institutions that need them for consideration. Especially their Second (2nd)
Choice institutions of preferences.
