The Management of the University of Jos has taken over the newly completed twelve-room visiting scholars’ residence from the project contractors. The building is located at the old Council Guest House, Naraguta Campus of the University.
While receiving the keys of the building from representatives of the contracting firm, Usal Teleview Nigeria Limited, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Seddi Sebastian Maimako acknowledged the timely completion of the project and assured the contractor of a good future partnership.
The Vice-Chancellor, however, explained that the building will be temporarily occupied by the Faculties of Social Sciences and Management Sciences whose offices were burnt down by the fire incidence in October, 2016.
The building consists of a reception, four offices and a gymnasium on the ground floor with an outdoor recreational area, while each room has a sitting room, kitchenette and toilet.
